More good news.....

Well another female laid 5 more eggs. 2 were popped, but the other 3 were A-ok. More things to think about and more things to wait on. Nice to see though. Another female is due quite soon as well. Incubator is going to be full before we know it!

Thanks man....heh heh, but there's no way I'm counting my eggs before they hatch (LOL!). Its not like they are bullet-proof, like Ball eggs. I'm going to be happy for 50% hatch rate for my first go-around.

Thanks again man!

Jeff, I think the KEY to a successful hatching rate is to not let the eggs get wet. Especially near the last couple of weeks of incubation. My first time I added just a little bit of water to the incubation medium, since it looked at bit dry and that screwwed everything for me. All the eggs had fully developed babies, but drowned in their eggs. Man was I upset, but I made the mistake and learned from it. Hope everything works out for you in your first try.......Keep us posted though.

Yep, its definitely humidity that's the key. They are in 100% humidity right now, but the perlite they are in is bone dry. If that doesn't work, then I'll adapt. That's what its all about.

I've totally sold all my yellow and Red Ackies now, and concentrating on other monitors. Hopefully I'll be having some baby Kimberleys in 2003!! I'm also starting a new project with V.Cummingi.
