Update

I didn't know where to put this as its about several different reptiles but anyway. My Pueblan Milk Snake (who still doesn't have a name so fell free to give suggestions) is still not eating. I've tried leaving it over night and just feeding him smaller / little bit bigger. He refuses to eat and just slither away from the food whenever I offer it to him. He is doing well other than that. He also decided to escape yesterday but I found him within an hour f looking. Pablo my Crestie is still doing really well and isn't growing to much more as he is at just about full size. My tank in my wall currently has 2 green anoles, 1 brown anole and a house gecko because one of the green anoles actually drowned but I will have pictures of all of them up in the next 1 hour or so

Re: Update

Cool little crab.

Did you find out how your snake escaped? Sorry I forget, but how long have you had him and how long has it been since he ate last?

Re: Update

I've had him for about 2 to 3 weeks but he wasn't eating for the breeder before that too. Almost two months. And yea the cage was open a tiny bit at the top.

Re: Update

He is about a year old not sure about the exact age. And I know that I said I would post pictures a while ago of him but he moves so fast that it is impossible to get a good shot of him. Ill try in the next couple of days. Also doesn't help that I'm using my crappy phone camera.

Re: Update

Its tough to say much as this is a new snake to you. It could quite easily be that it just needs to get settled in before feeling comfortable enough to eat. I know colubrids dont go for as long without eating as big pythons and boas, but it still isnt long enough that its a major problem yet. What kind of ground cover do you have for him in the tank? How big is the enclosure? Have you been holding it/picking it up much? Does he come out and cruise around or does he stay in his hides the whole time?

Re: Update

I have aspen as he bedding which is decently deep because he likes to burrow. I don't know how big the tank is but it is definitly big enough. Even as an adult it should be fine for him. I haven't been losing him a lot because I want him to eat before I start handling him more. He stays in his hide quite a bit but he comes out and cruises around quite a bit too. I can post a picture of the tank in a bit if you want?

Re: Update

Never hurts to have pictures.

Ya, I know you well enough that I figured the enclosure was plenty big enough, I was mostly asking just to see how 'open' the enclosure might be. If he was cruising around constantly its a good sign they dont feel secure in their enclosure. However, it sounds like he is acting healthy and if he isnt too skinny then I dont think Id be worried about him not eating for awhile.
