Australian Goannas by Matt Vincent and Steve Wilson

Has anyone read this book? If so please let me know your opinion on the book(as a whole). Please lets not start debating things about it, I'm just trying to get an overall review of how good it is to the individual reader.
The reason being is because the price tag on it is outrageous! I thought only my college text books cost that much.

I don't even keep goannas anymore and I still bought a copy of that book (secondhand) at a Hepetological meeting... cost me 30 bux.

Well worth it mate ... it's a great little book from knowledgable authors and a good read for anybody interested in Australian varanids.

How much was it advertised for if you don't mind me asking?

Holy hole in a doughnut mate... I'm tempted to sell mine then.

You would be much better off with Eric Pianka's Varanoid lizards of the world then...

In the mean time if you just want a decent reference book on keeping goanas then Keeping and breeding Australian lizards by Mike Swann is your best bet for husbandry of Autralian monitors.

I own all three of them by the way... the price for Steve Wilson's Australian Goanas, at those prices definitely does not warrant the buy lol.

Of course, Daniel Bennetts writings are all good reads too.

and he is making them available as digital downloads quite cheaply, and the purchase directly supports the author.

Re: Australian Goannas by Matt Vincent and Steve Wilson

Thank you all for the suggestions, I will look into them after I run a few errands today.
