Shedding?

I think Nagini is going to shed, soon maybe... For the past two weeks when it was close to "feeding day", Nagini would show his head above the surface of the substrate and after I fed him he would stay hidden until it was close to feeding day. So tuesday he wasn't peeking above the surface so I had to search for him and found him. He seems a little lighter colored than normal to me, but it's hard to tell if he's looking like he's going to shed because he already has a light/bright colors. So here are my questions! Do they not like to eat when they are shedding? How long does or can shedding take? He has a small shallow water bowl in his tub, I haven't seen him in or using it. Advice is welcomed!

Re: Shedding?

It can take up to 10 days to complete the shed cycle do offer a large bowl to soak in and bump the humidity up. Most snakes do not like to eat when in shed and look at the snakes belly if it looks faded or pale they are in shed! Some also dont like to be held either thats pretty normal. If you give us a pic of what she looks like we can help gauge if she is in shed!
