Finally got the focus on my battered camera working a bit better, and got some neat closeups as Matilda (daughters named her recently) the Mexican rosy boa gets a drink. Seems she usually will slurp the day after a meal. Ate two pinkies yesterday without batting an eye.

So I haven't seen her actually dip her mouth into the water yet, she more flicks the top several times with her tongue. So tried to get a shot with tongue out but not so lucky this time.

The scales are still neat to me.

Got her at a chain petstore w/o a clue, but localityrosys.com thinks she is either maybe Cabo San Lucas or Organ Pipe. I suppose she could also be a interbreed between localities like a snake mutt, and thus sold at a mainstream store. But she appears to be healthy so no complaints here.

I think mine is a cross as well. He was a drop-off at the pet store I found him at. Great store, they do rescues etc.
