B/P and Carpet care & requirements
I am looking at one Jungle carpet python and quite a few B/P's, I am possibly going to purchase one of the above.
But I have only had corns so far, so I am needing information on basic python care, anything specific/different between carpet and B/P care.
Before I buy a python, I need to know I have all the right supplies on hand to set them up properly.
BTW, how big do carpets get?? I know how big B/P's get but am unsure of the Jungle carpet.

Re: B/P and Carpet care & requirements
Jungles get about 5-6 ft for males and about 6-7 ft for females.
Carpets need more climbing space and more space in general. BPs just sit there but carpets love to explore and just climb as much as they can.
Read as many care sheets as you can and you'll do fine, it's pretty simple care for both of them really.

Re: B/P and Carpet care & requirements
Jungle Carpet are so easy to care for and very forgiving if your temperatures or humidity aren't perfect. Temps hot side 85 to 90 and cool side 70 to 75. The only time i even worry about humidity is when they are in shed. Then i mist once or twice a day. Always get a perfect shed. Jungles are so curious and active. When i walk into my snake room 4 of the 5 will be right at the door wanting to get out. They love to explore. Carpet are one of them snake i think everyone falls in love with when they hold one for the first time. You can use anything for substrate. I have a couple on Reptile Bark a couple on newspapers.

Re: B/P and Carpet care & requirements
It's awesome allesia!! I now have it bookmarked.
I think this time I am going for a B/P. The only Carpet I was really interested in and That person is not getting back to me.
if she responds before I buy a B/P, the carpet may be added back to the list of possibilites. But for now, It looks like I am bringing home a B/P.
check my "help me choose" thread to see pics of the possibilities and give me your opinion.
