I have read a lot of stuff online and I thought this plant would be easy to keep and would make Olives Pen much more like home. I bought one Yesterday but now I question if this is okay before I put one in the pen.. Some sites say oh yeh they are okay, but some say hey are you stupid. I figured it was time to ask my next question and see what You people think..... I tend to think that most likely I cant put it in there so for now I am going to just leave it out..
Philodendrons are safe to use, but your monitor will more than likely destroy it. It's up to you whether or not you'd like to try it. If you do, put it in the shower until all of the original potting soil and any chemicals are washed off it.
Wow now that was fast and I thank you for that... I did not expect to hear they were safe I had made up my mind that it was a no go. Thanks for the quick answer
Your monitor will have no interest in eating it so no worries. It is a tough plant, but taking the abuse a monitor will subject it too is another thing.
