Iowa Reptile Show in Des Moines 4/1/12
Its coming again in a couple of weeks. I dont plan on getting anything but these things are always fun. Maybe someone in neighboring states might want to check it out.

As much as I would like to attend, I'm presently unable too. But we'll see what the day brings. Who knows? Maybe I'll get a bur up my butt. I've been feeling a road trip and need to get out of Lincoln.

That would be awesome but regardless, we will be coming to Omaha 2 weeks later. Both shows are actually quite fun.

Re: Iowa Reptile Show in Des Moines 4/1/12
I personally liked the selection at the Des Moines show better but Omaha seemed to have more all around animals available. That could be from the fact that Omaha seemed to be in a more cramped area making it seem fuller.

Yeah Omaha is more cramped, especially in the morning but both shows have a lot of stuff available.

Ok we might be vending here. Not sure yet. If we do, we will have rat and mouse cages, pics of the rat racks for people to place their orders for those plus we will import more rats from our wholesaler to sell at the show. The last show gave us lots of exposure to meet new people doing business with us.

The Iowa Herp Society actually put this show on and went a long toward making it all possible. The 3rd pic is of Tom Weidner who also own Habitat Syatems, The 4 pic is of Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles owned by the guy on the left, Jim Stepflug who also runs this show himself.

These are pics of some of the other venders there. They had Balls Carpets, Boas and Geckos.
The 1st pic is that of Jason Kruse and his operation "Go Lizards" which is based in Kansas City. He was the guy who we bought Miss Piggy, Kermit and Ramón from during previous shows and the 2nd pic is of Kerry Siever, the guy I bought Lancelot and Guinevere from last year in April.

Re: Iowa Reptile Show in Des Moines 4/1/12
The next 2 pics are of some Madagascar Hissers they had available. The next one is of Robin w/Iowa Reptile Rescue who just recently moved to a new location and will be open to the public this summer, in the meantime they are doing educational proigrams with their reptile. Ive seen what they do in rescuing these reptiles and I totally support what they do. The next pic is of Dave Kaufman who produces herpers videos which are very facinating and informative to watch.

The next 3 pics are of our table, the rats in the back of the van and the mice in the front part by the sliding side door. We did fairly well, but last Fall we did much better.
One more thing. I met Necrias in person. He is a member here and a very cool guy to get to know.

I saw Jimmy's pictures of the show. I wish I could've been in two places at once. I did manage to get a nice sunburn on Sunday at least.
