Its Heeere!! New AP Snake Rack
Its here and Im so stoked! Anyway, I just got done moving snakes around and they occupy each tub as follows:
First Pic which is the new AP 1860/1960 (4)...
Vanessa on top
Merlin next one down
Miss Piggy next one down
Kermit on the bottom
Second Pic which is the AP CB70 (4) I currently have...
Popeye on top
Arwen next one down
Euryale next one down
Gandalf the Grey on the bottom
Third Pic shows the 1860/1960 sitting nicely on top of the CB70
Fourth Pic is the AP 1753/1755 (6)...
Rita on top
Ramón next one down
Sheila next one down
Mick next one down
Empty soaking tub next one down
Guinevere and Lancelot are still in the 15 qt tubs on the bottom.
The boaphile is now empty, will be cleaned and sterilized, and then sold ASAP since I no longer need it.
Black Betty is still in her 6' Neodesha, Schatzi is in her 20T and Hellboy is still in the 20L quarantine tank for now. Point is that each snake has his/her own tub/tank now and there no longer any need to double up.

Thanks guys. Im lucky Animal Plastics is right here in the Des Moines metro so that saved me shipping costs as well as time. I figured Id better order a new one than wait until something pops up on CL. Id still be waiting and the need was more imperative than that.

Animal Plastics has a web site you can order from if you like and you will see that they have a wide variety of enclosures to choose from.

My biggest concern was to make sure I had enough tubs to house the snakes. A side bonus is that I was able to upgrade Mick and Sheilas tubs from 15qt. to 32 qt. plus I now have an empty tub I can use for soaking if the need arises.

Nice, but why did you drill the air holes so low on the bin? That may cause some issues, as heat rises. The humidity may build up in the bin because the holes aren't up near the top.

I change my tubs regularly esp since I use newspaper as substrate. The Macklots are on the top 2 tubs anyway and too much humidity has never been an issue with them. The bottom 2 tubs are the '09 Dums. I control the humidity levels simply by where I place their water bowls. Macklots and Brazilians have theirs in the back where the heat cable is. The Dums all have theirs up front, far away from the heat source and this has never been an issue with any of them anyway. Thank you for your insight though and I do respect your 13 yrs experience.

Re: Its Heeere!! New AP Snake Rack
What I also find really cool is that not only do I save in shipping costs but since my boaphile is now empty, I can sell it to help pay some of the costs of the rack. I just talked to the guy who has first dibs and hes looking at Monday for this deal.

Re: Its Heeere!! New AP Snake Rack
Racks certainly work better than glass tanks in so many ways. Our space is limited anyway which is why most of our snakes are in racks to begin with. Black Betty obviously is too big for any of these racks and the corns dont require the heat and humidity the more tropical snakes do. Thats why they have their own enclosures but yeah, racks are the way to go for sure. Like I was telling Alessia earlier, my more pressing concern was that I had enough tubs/tanks to house each individual snake by themselves. I still dont plan on getting any more snakes for the forseeable future, even if I do have an empty tub. That tub is reserved for soaking to help along sheds.
