I can't explain my obsession with snakes. I just really enjoy being able to watch or handle them. Oh, and feeding nights are great too!

I love the way they move, hunt and how they are so perfectly adapted to their environement, they are incredible animals and I have ALOT of respect for them..
The more some of mines are growing, more I love them, they are so strong, its unbelievable.
Like burms and retics, I know they will be strong enough to kill me, I know that if they want it to.. they CAN do.. this makes my respect for them grow much and much and Damn I like em
they are almost my gods... hehe

I too find snakes amazing animals, both to own watch and handle. There is nothing like the feel of a snake slithering through your hands or sitting accross your shoulders
Now, I do like fluffy pets too! Gotta have the best of all worlds!! hehe

They can thrive in almost any environment. They can climb trees, move along the ground, swim and some even "fly". All without any appendages. Some have evolved excellent camoflage, some have developed super potent saliva to subdue their prey, some can sense a change in temperature as minute as .001 degrees. Plus they come in all shapes, colors and sizes.
You can leave for a weekend and everything will be fine when you get back. They don't howl at night, they don't need to be taken outside just before bedtime and first thing in the morning.
Just truly amazing animals...

i also think they're amazing just how long they've survived, not just surviving, surviving with no legs, barely being able to see, and how they can catch such fast prey, i could go on but i wont. Also the variety of colors they come in, how each snake is different in some way, I LOVE THEM!

Some of our snakes are extreamly active (the burms, the ball pythons) and are on a relentless search for escape (i'm sure they've tested every single cross on the screen) where other snakes are sedate and immitate sticks. The only time i've seen our viper boas move is when the food pretty much walks on them (they're currently live feeders only and have aim that makes a ball python look as accurate as william tell).
It's interesting to see the different personalities the snakes have, our ball pythons are big hams and when they see one of them getting their picture taken they all have to get involved our burms just like to motor around and the kings try to break the sound barriar getting from one side of the enclosure to the otter (you never know, we may have left food for them)

ever since kindergarten I have been absolutely amazedwith snakes. I was ever allowed to keep them because my parents at the time were both very hting and afraid of snakes. Well after i got ym first "real" job. My first paycheck went to , of course , buying my first herp. I love every minute of caring for these animals. Although i do want a dog ha. I'm moving out finally this summer so maybe once i get my cash flow going ha.
