hi everyone my rat snake is about to shed. one eye has cleared but the other looks to be bulging put and is still very cloudy.
is this just because the eye is cloudy it looks bigger. or is there something wrong.
thank you all.
Some lizards will "bulge out" their eyes when they are in shed in an attempt to loosen the shedding skin around the eyes. I am not too experienced with snakes but maybe this is the same thing? Maybe you can help him get the shed off of his eye with a damp cloth or something?
