it is very hard to make bat-eaters. i have never produced any, but i know a few people who have.
1st - you need a male retic and a female burm... this is how it has worked so far with successful breedings.
2nd - you need a lot of luck - cuz most of the time the eggs (if you get any) arent fertile.
good luck.

i highly doubt that bob clark would tell a 14 year old kid that breeding his burm and retic is going to work. bateaters are extremely hard to create for the above reasons and with an attitude like yours im suprised that you can even care for the burm and retic let alone breed them to create a hybrid. and if you are seriously going to try it i suggest that you wait at least 2.5-3 years before you even think about breeding them. they are WAY too small and young.

i know that. Bob clark said it doesnt matter what sex each type they are, as long as i have a male and female. I am highly aware of the dificulty of this project. AND, FOR YOUR INFO SMARTY PANTS, I TRY TO REMAIN INTHUSED ON THE SUBJECT. I AM NOT SOME INEXPERIENCED NOOBBY KID WHO HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING. AND I AM ALLWAYS GOING TO SOUND POSSOTIVE ABOUT IT. I DO BELIEVE IT WILL WORK. ALLTHOUGH BOB DOESNT KNOW IM 14, IM SURE THAT THE ANSWER WOULD BE THE SAME. I BIELIEVE THAT IT WILL WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

were not looking down on you we are just giveing you good advice trust me most of the ppl in this forum have been doing this awhile they know from experience, you say that you have alot of experience with snake just because you own alot of them doesn't mean that you know how to properly care for and breed them. i dont know the laws where you live but here in montreal your not allowed to purchase any animal from a pet store unless you are 18 year old. there is a good reason for that, they dont want inexperienced kids buying a snake that will get 15+ feet. now whoever let you purchase your snakes (except maybe the ball and the milk) was very stupid. if you were as experienced enough you would know what a slug is. another reason to not try and make hybrids ; bob clark is the best python breeder and has had trouble getting a good clucth of eggs, i dont think some 14yr old is going to get better results.
BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you never told me what a slug is................................And i have just as good of a chance as bob. Like i said, i do my research. You cant tell me my chances are bad just because i am inexperienced at breeding and young. How do you think you get good at it? You get out and do it. And yes, i consider myself an experienced keeper because i do me RESEARCH. I know how to care for me snakes because i do my RESEARCH. how did you care for your snakes when you first got them? you did your RESEARCH, i sertanly hope you just didnt wing it. God, im tired of you guys tellin me im inexpirienced, and toooooooo young, im changing my username. God you guys are mean. What the hell is WAIT UNTILL YOUR OLDER. That is bull****. And i have been caring for my familys snakes and my own since i was 6. My life now is in just as much in danger as yours is. I tell you what, you guys are big headed.

If I were you I would change my username & start off with a whole new attitude. LOL First big change is you need to relax & cool your teenage hormones. Your posts get less & less mature with each one. Best bet is if you are mad or offended in any way is too relax & post when you are not all upset, its part of being mature & has nothig to do with age. Anyhow in reguards to RESEARCH which you seem to have done so much of ? a "Slug" is an infertile egg or in the case of livebearing snakes an undeveloped embro, something you would know if you had already properly researched breeding snakes. The advice to wait is the best given here & has nothing to do with you or your age or inexperiance, but has everything to do with the size & age of your snakes as neither are big or mature enough. Good luck with your efforts in the future & you will find that you get more out of these forums if you post as a mature person & ignore those that don't. Posting in "Hissy Fit Fashion" doesn't show your maturity & makes it hard for others to take you seriously. Also to compare yourself to Bob Clark is pretty egotistical there young one as you have a long long way to go before that will ever happen. The making of Python Hybrids takes years & years of breeding experience of which you have none yet. Raise your snakes up to proper ages & sizes & I would recommend trying some "pure breedings" for the experience before trying to play Hybridize as it will help save disappointments due to simple errors. Hope you can take some good advice without getting all upset, its part of being mature. Mark

no, it doesnt take exp to have hybrids turn out good. That depends all on luck. And i wasnt comparing myself to bob, i was saying i have jus as good of a chance of having them turn out good as bob does, it doesnt metter how much experience you have to have that happen. so...farewell........ill be having a new username soon!!!

WOW. That's all I'll say........
Oh, and even if you change your username, we'll still know it's you due to your shoddy grammar and spelling. Grow up!
