Exclamation Need Help..

I bought a corn about a year and half ago, advertised as female. But I never checked to make sure that she was infact a girl. And I would like to know because I want to breed her next season. Anways I did a scale count on her shed last night and their is 140, doesn't this mean that she is a he? The person I bought her off was sure she was a girl, but now im not. So I put her in with my male corn to see what would happen, they both started twitching and the male raised his tail and climbed on her back, then she started to race around the cage and he followed on her back. Once this happened I separated them. Dose this confirm that she is female? Or would a male corn try to breed with another male?

Thanks for any help, ~Denise

Ok, the only actual way to know exactly if it is infact a male or female is to have it probed because the scale count isnt always right. Im not sure about the racing around the cage thing but maybe it was a male and it didnt like the fact the other one was trying to mate with it and tried to get away. I guess the only way to know for sure is to have it probed.

Scale count for sexing? LMAO only way is to pop them as youngsters or probe them. In reguards to all the twiching, males will do this when first together as will females & it can't be an indication of sex. If they "lock up" though you know you have 1 of each. Mark
