Got a dragon, questions.....

A friend of mine knows this girl who works at a pet store. A freind of hers gave her 2 bearded dragons to watch for 2 weeks. She wound up having the dragons for 2 and a half months with no word at all from the owners. This girl has a rediculous number of pets, so she wanted to find someone to give the dragons to.

My friend took the male (named it Trogdor), and i took the female. they are both supposedly adults, but we dont know how old they are for sure.

Mine, the female, will not eat vegatables. i asked the girl we got them from about it, and she said that she doesnt think that the guy she got them from fed them any, but that i should keep trying. she seemed to interested in some yellow squash that i put in there.

how do you "water" your dragons? do they drink from bowls? my friend said somthing about how you have to sprinkle water on the walls, or on their head. he did it to Trogdor, and he licked the water off the wall.

my still unnamed dragon may be pregant. she is much larger than the male, and the pet shop girl said that the 2 of them were making with the love a while back. is there a way to tell if she if pregnant? kristen told me to watch and see if she is basking ALL the time and sleeping alot.

You can put a water dish in with your beardie, just leave it in for an hour or two every few days just so they get a good drink but don't make a mess of it. You can also spray them with water or drip it on their head, this takes a lot longer.

How to tell if your female is pregnant is to hold her and lightly push on her stomach around the edges. If she is, you will feel little marble like bumps in her. When she is ready to lay her eggs, she will start to dig a lot and run around looking for someplace to lay so you need to give her a bin of moistened sand or soil. The bin of sand or soil needs to be wet enough to dig a tunnel in but not too wet that there is puddles. After she lays her eggs she will bury them and look like she is actually harming them but its ok, just let her do her thing. If you want to keep the eggs have an incubator already set up and transfer the eggs from the sand into smaller containers filled to about 1" from the top with vermiculite, trying to not rotate the eggs at all. Then all you have to do is wait, keeping an eye on the temp of the incubator and making sure the eggs are not molding or drying out. how long before the eggs would be developed enoungh to feel them? im not really sure how long ago it was that they were mating, but ill check for the eggs when i get home.

any suggestions on the vegetable problem? kristen was feeding them this pellet food that the guy gave her when she took the dragons. im not sure what the food was, but when they would poop, some dye or something in the food would would stain them green- very green, like iguana green. im not sure if the green will just wash off, i dont know how to wash them really...

You can tell if she has eggs about a month after they have been breed.

As for the vegetable problem, what are you feeding? There are many care sheets out there to check out for good lists, but in general, feed greens like collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, endive, escarole, and kale (but don't feed spinach) along with squash, carrots, green peppers, peas, apples, blueberries, mango, papya, and raspberries. I know a lot of juvenile beardies won't eat their veggies unless you put fresh food in the morning and then don't feed crickets until the afternoon. Try that and see what happens.

ive tried feeding her romaine lettuce, collard greens, peas, and yellow squash.

The pellets sound like the exo-terra bearded dragon food. It is supposedly a complete diet created by veternarians. Some people feed their dragons this exclusively. I do use it, but not all the time. It would be bloody expensive to do it exclusively wouldn't it? can you buy the pellets in bulk?
