Hello. While doing some rotuine cleaning in my atb's cage he latched on to my thumb pretty good. Like an idiot my reaction was to pull away. After I got my hand out of the cage I saw a tooth lodged into my finger. I have never had a snake break a tooth of from biting me before and I am wondering how serious that sort of injury is to the snake and is there anything I can do for him to help along the healing proccess.
Thanks,
JoJo
Im not too sure, but I think the tooth will regrow, as for helping him, I would just let hime sit for a while, his mouth may be a little sore, but keep an eye on him and makesure that he doesnt get an infection or something, Hope that helps, Im sure someone else can better advise......

Snakehunter is correct. They constantly lose teeth and regrow them. It's nothing to worry about and do as snakehunter siad, watch for any infection, but I doubt if there will be any since it happens often.
About the only thing for you to do was to pull the tooth out from your thumb, wash it well, and apply some anti-bac ointment to the wound.
