my young venezualen boa seems to spend most of the time in it's hide, just leaving it's head sticking out, to be honest i've never seen it out and about so i was wondering if this is normal, or if they're more active at night when theres no one around? or perhaps it's ill, or distressed or anything?
Rainbow boas are mainly nocturnal, so it's fairly unlikely that you'll see her out and about during the daytime.
Check temps, humidity, make sure she's got a hide at both the warm and cool end... if you've done all the above, and she's eating and pooping and such... I'm sure there's nothing to worry about
