swim
can cresteds swim?
I have heard that that young ones can't, but I have a hard time believing that an animal that lives in the rainforest can't swim. Especially one that is on an island.

They can swim, pretty well too. They do a cross between a dog paddle and a slithering motion, somewhat funny to watch.

I tried it with one of my cresties, and yes they can swim. It's actually pretty neat to watch, although I'm not sure that they enjoy it, but they are good at it.

I think most, if not all geckos can swim, and many lizards can too. The most interesting swimmers are chameleons. They inflate themselves with air, looking like bubbles floating along and swish their tails to propel themselves. I accidentally found out leachianus can not only swim, but my Lady Oscar loves to do belly flops. She makes some wild splashes.

I think every animal can swim, except for fish.

Hilde - I'm sure there's a story behind that one
Aren't lechianus also pretty pricey lizards? Must have scared the crap outta ya the first time!
It's really too bad you're so far away... from all the posts and pics i've seen of yours all over you must have one incredible collection.
