Zeus Back on Rats!!!

My 4 year old bp, has been fasting for several months. We would offer his a mouse to see if he was hungry every few days when I would feed the 6 month old bp.

He would occassionally take a mouse or two but would refuse to take his normal rats.

Today, we offered him a mouse which he took and then he took a large rat.

Neither one of them will accept F/T mice or rats so I am forced to feed F/K prey. I have tried everything suggested to get them to take F/T but nothing worked.

My daughter raises mice so we always have a fresh supply. I think there is like 80 baby mice in here room at the moment and a total of 8 females constantly breeding.

Lose the mice, and get her to breed rats instead. Shouldn't feed balls mice at all, they'll take rat pups/fuzzies right from hatching. Your balls will grow faster, and you don't have to deal with the nuisance off switching back and forth. Balls are picky enough as it is.

Yeah I don't feed the babies...Adult mice are fed. And usually only to the 8 month old snake. We would see if the 4 year old was hungry by offering him a mouse. If he took it we would try another or get him a rat.

Think is here we are unable to get the right size of rat without travelling up to an hour. Plus daughter is kind of scared of rats.

I have a deal with the local pet store to trade young mice for rats.
