Not only was it a bad photo....

But I HATE it when this happens. Fed my biggest Ball female (normal) the 2nd biggest rat I've ever seen (see Carpet forum for biggest, LOL!), and, as always, couldn't shove the Rubbermaid back in!! They always over-coil and she was 4 inches above the rim of the bin! It was some mighty fine shifting of substrate and furniture to get this sucker back in, LOL!

And the weird thing was, some of the adult female Bals went nuts over food tonight! I thawed out 120 rats tonight. On the way to feeding the boas, I pass by the BP racks. And everytime I did, I would hear a "thud. I was like "did I put some Carpets in the BP rack by mistake"? LOL! Sure enough, as soon as I opened a bin, out came a huge female BP like a damn cobra! Of the 17 I tried (that's all the rats I had left!!), 15 adult females ate! It was nuts. I dont' know why this surprises me, as it happens every year, same time. Its just weird how I could have offered yesterday or the day before for hours on end and not a single one would take a rat. Today, they went ballistic.

Crummy pics, and then the batteries went toast. But you get the gist. Moral? Everyone, try and feed you female BP's tonight (well not tonight, its 4am now)!!!

Sweet. I gave my female a big *** rat too over the weekend.

I find, from my collection of 3, the females take meals down better. Do you find this with your bp's?

of the 14 adult females I have, 8, Yes 8! of them are in shed. 5 of the remaining 6 could care less about food. I have one female who produced for me last year eating, and she's eating like a champ. You're a lucky one, Mr. Favelle.

Gotta love that Jeff!!

I fed on Tuesday and all my females ate too!! Gotta love when that happens. None of my males ate but all the girls. 4 of my 04 babies are finicky eaters but they all took wich is a good feeling.

Well Jeff, I must have just caught the tail-end of whatever feeding miracle you were blessed with. I only got 4/7 big girls to eat tonight.

I only had 7 medium rats and gave one to a male but he ate it and so did 6 of the 6 big girls I offered. They have all been cooled nights for a few weeks now and I fed fairly early in the morning and they where still cold so I was surprised that they ate so well. I haven't tried feeding most of them lately so didn't think too much about it until I saw this post.

So what is it, moon cycles? I'm in Colorado and far away from you northern people so shouldn't have the same weather cycles here yet.

Calgary? I almost got a job where I would have had to move there for a few months. I guess it isn't that far but then again I'm considering a trip to eastern SD that will be nearly 24 hours round trip and that state almost touches Colorado. Just too dang long East/West.
