Crested and Leopard Geckos

Quick question...

How do crested geckos compare to leopard geckos in terms of temperament and willingness to be handled?

Thanks,
Adam

Leopard and cresties are both a bit more skiddish as youngin's, but are very tolerant when matured. I have a 5 month old crestie and 5 leopards a year old+, I find the leopard are more easier to control when handled, since they can't climb well, but the crestie is funner to handle and I can see myself walking around the house with a mature one on my shoulder.

Of course each individual reptile is, well, individual, but they are very similar in temperament and willingness to be handled.

crested just like to be on the move when handeled. if you use the hand walking technique a crestile will be happy to use your hands like a treadmill. cresties wont stay still for long. I also like to hold my other arm a foot or two away, and a bit higher. the crested will leap for higher ground 90% of the time.
oh, and while you are getting used to handling a crested, make sure you have a large mirror handy. ive had cresties run over my shoulder and chill out on my back for like an hour while no one else was around to help me!
I also find baby crested much less skittish than leo babies once they are in your hand.
