yes, they are the same species, and the could even be the same subspecies. a central american is a B. c. imperator, columbia has both imperator and B. c. constrictor. it is likely that yours is an imperator.
I woulnt suggest it. Its best to stick with pure bloodlines and i dont think they would even be worth much.
