YEAH!!! She Double-Clutched!!!
I'm so excited!!! Trinity, my Miami phase corn who, as some of you recall, was bred to my charcoal male, laid 11 eggs and 2 slugs today! This is her second clutch from the same breeding. I have 10 eggs from her first clutch ready to hatch any day now. (They are already on day 68.... I wish they would hurry!)
Wow, that's a lot of exclamation marks...
Anyway, about half of them look like they might not make it. But I have high hopes. Hopefully in a couple of months, I'll be the proud grandfather of 21 baby grandcorns.

I sure hope so, Tim. This means I'm cooking 21 eggs from the same girl. I'm just hoping that next year she's a repeat double clutcher, but with no slugs. Needless to say I'm also hoping she's het charcoal.

Congrats on the second clutch - amazing how they lay right about the time their first one is due to hatch. Best of luck on the first clutch - looking forward to pics - I am still anxiously awaiting something from any of mine - no luck yet,

27 is awesome. I hope I get results like that next year. Of course, if all goes well, I'll have 3 females producing next year, one of which is a charcoal that will be bred to a charcoal. Now that will be exciting for me.

Cool Ken, here at my house lately its been like crap more eggs again wow where can I put these ones. Just about everyone here is doubleclutching whether they were bred again or not. Heck even my VBB doubleclutched this year. She squeezed out 14 more just the other day, only 1/2 fertile, but not bad for not having been bred for 3-4 months & already having 17 good ones first go round. 2 more clutches of Graybands today & 1 more on route. 6 different clutches hatching today & I think around 9 more to go in the next week or 2 for round one. Its still all very eggciting, but can be a wee bit overwhelming now & again LOL. I sometimes envy you guys with only a few clutches to worry about, mind you having a different clutch or 2 hatch every day over a few weeks is pretty friggin cool though until they all start feeding/crapping that is LOL Yours should hatch any friggin day Ken, most of mine are all around 60 days give or take. I think this warmer weather is what started them all off here & they ain't stopped since : ) Gotta Love em Congrats Mark
