How does this set-up sound...

I always wanted an elaborite set up for one of my animals... And I think my GTP will be the first..

I got a wooden cage that is 4 feet long by 2 feet by 2 feet. I am going to stone tile the back and do a mayan / aztec ruins type thing in there with lots of silk plants, branches, etc.. I am also working in an automatic mister.

Does that sound cool?

Using that for a GTP you want the 4ft to be the height. They are tree pythons so the height would be good I would think. I dont' have any yet myself but just a thought.

I can't wait to do something like that. I'd love to do it with tree snakes, but I think I'll start with a nice leo setup. I love natural looking setups. At super pet in kanata, they have an awesome etb setup. The back is covered with those silk pot plants and then they have a couple of branches where the snake rests on, and then the bottom of the cage is covered with 6-8 inches of water that covers 3/4 of the bottom of the enclosure. And of course inside that water reside fish! It's beautiful! Oh and back to your post, sounds awesome!

I thought that too, but I guess that is wrong. when you give them a high, tall cage they are prone ti just go to the highest branch and perch. with a longer cage they have more room to crawl around at night..
thats what I hear anyways

Sounds cool, I know that some people use rubbermaids so I guess that as long as you have perches for them it will be good. Good to know to since I will eventually have a couple of 2ft high 33gal tanks wich I can convert for GTP's when I get them!!
