Help plz!

It seems I made a mistake sexing my geckos and thought i had two females :\ turns out i have a male and a female and the female is gravid, All the incubators the petstores sell are 200+$
anyway i heard you can make them from 10 gallon aquariums and aquarium heaters. Can anyone get me a good site or very precise directions(Im more of a visual kind of person . Any help would be great but this is also good because there two gorgeous tang parents. keep you posted

200 bucks???? What kind of incubator are you looking at...... Hova bators go for like 45 bucks....... They are easy to set up and work great....... They are some of the best inexpensive incubators around........ Do an internet search and I am sure you can get one within a week.......
Just a little side note....
If you cant afford the supplies need to fully care for your animals, you can not afford the animals......

bit harsh gregg it was just a mistake,he didnt know it was gunna happen,and 200+ isnt the sort of thing you want to spend without knowing.
You can cheapy keep incubate eggs by even buying a seed probagator,puttin watr in the bottom,closin the vents half way on each,then puttin a rubbermaid in balancing on somthing,E-mail me if you want any more imformation. Good luck!!!

Hey, first off, the price incubators vary depending on where you live, there may be cheap ones out there but that doesn’t mean the pet store near him carries it I know the pet store here would charge an arm and a leg for one lol. Just do a search like everyone said you should find something.

Gregg M , although I agree completely with your comment it was out of context he must be taking very good care of them if they are breeding , and not wanting too pay for an incubator has nothing too do with the animals, its for there eggs , the he should be commended for taking the time and effort on incubating the eggs when he wasn’t expecting them in the first place.

If it were someone saying they don't want to spend 200 at the vet for a sick or dying pet, then they'd be due for a lecture.

But here we have someone who just got a surprise, checked prices, realized that there are alternatives you can make for 1/20th of that amount, so came to ask for help.

I can't fault someone for asking for a way to save money, when the cheap alternative is just as effective (and in some cases better) than the retail product.

Ixidor, you should be able to build one for dirt cheap. If you find the temps and such you need, you can build variants of those incubators found in people's galleries and the breeding thread.

A styrofoam packing container is only a couple of bucks at canadian tire (usually in the rubbermaid aisle). And will insulate great. In the gardening section you'll be able to find potting soil (Organic, no fertilizers), or vermiculite. Small ziploc or gladlock containers will be a couple of aisles over. You probably know where the indoor/outdoor thermometers are if you've got one for your geckos already.
Depending on the humidity requirements (no idea what they are for geckos), you might want to get a fish tank heater to submerge in water at the bottom of the styrofoam crate. The water helps provide uniform heat and humidity.

If the eggs require a lot of humidity, make sure that water condensation doesn't form in a place where it can drip on to the eggs and saturate them.

My hovabator cost $145 Canadian.

I think that it was worth the money, especially if you plan on incubating lots of eggs. 100% hatchrate so far

are you sure these eggs are even fertile? Females can lay eggs without mating. You might be correct and do just have two females.

yeah female can lay without male, just look carefully to be sure it's a couple or 2 female.
set a proper lay box with some vermiculite.
for the incubator, take an aquarium with 2 inch of water, a water heater on the bottom (a submersible one), and put 4 small claypot
so you can put a piece of plastic like plexiglass on the clay and still
get 1" inch between the plasic and the water.
now just regulate the air at 80F for female or 89F for male. (84-86 for both) look there is a topic about Incubating

You don't need an incubator for Leo eggs.
Just set them up on moist vermiculite in a small deli container or similar with only a couple small holes, and leave them in the herp room if it's heated or even in the corner of the tank with the adults, in the same cage.
Any temp between about 78 and 90 will hatch Leo eggs. You only really need an incubator if you're trying to manipulate the gender.
Cooler temps make girls, warmer(over 84) makes boys.
I've hatched lots of leos by simply sticking them on a shelf in the animal room
