My Latest And Greatest Addition
Well I got home last night and was too emotional to do anything.. having to bring my so back to his father's was very depressing because he kept SCREAMING he wanted to stay with his Cassy!! and wouldn't let go of me, the door, etc..
We showed up at the hospital for 8am like scheduled and they were FULL! They had 21 moms come in over the last 12 hours! All the labour rooms were full so they asked us to wait in the lounge until they decided if they would be inducing anyone. I told them off in some very colourful words. The nurse talked to the dr that was gonna induce me and well at 11am they checked my cervix at 11am, told me I was 2 cm and totally soft! They broke my water [more like slightly more liquidy corn syrup!] at 11:35am and I SOAKED the bed thru 3 super blue pads all the sheets and STILL got the floor!. I had a very MILD contraction at 12:10am [nurse had to tell me, I couldn't feel it it was so mild] so they say that is when my labour started. I had another at 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00. I was getting frustrated because they were weaker then the BH contrax I'd been having! At 3:15pm WOW that contraction was killer! They checked my cervix, only 3cm Had another killer contraction at 3:30 and told the nurse I was starting to feel the need to push. She said "no no you're only 3cm! You can't NEED to push yet" I said to check me and I was 5cm and 80% effaced! 3:45 Yet another killer contraction and went from 5cm and 80% to 8cm and fully effaced and SCREAMED at the nurse to get the dr because this baby was coming out NOW! She didn't believe me and checked again and very quickly ran from the room and screamed down the hall to get the Delivery room ready! At 4:00pm I started to laugh because the pain was so bad.. Eric thinks I'm crazy! At 4:12pm I had another bad contrax going from my labour room to the DR that my body decided to push thru [I TRIED to stop it really ], and at 4:15 the doc RAN into the room [I know the time exactly because I was watching the clock over the door!], he BARELY had his scrubs on, went to wash his hands and I YELLED at him to "Stop ******* washing your hands! Turn around and catch my baby!" At 4:17pm I pushed once and out she FLEW! She came out so fast she was bruised! Placenta delivered intact at 4:20pm.
She weighed 7lbs 13oz and is 21 and 1/4 inches long. She's got a head full of hair and DARK blue eyes.
We named her Cassandre Louise Marguerite Beausoleil [said in French it sounds much better] "Cassy" for short.
So I'm off to buy frilly clothes! I'll post pictures later this weekend.
