Cool snakes, I'm assuming they are Lystrophis semicinctus. Those are 2 very nice specimens.
Hope breeding goes well for you, I would definitely consider some captive bred offspring.

lol, talk about talent.. I know of a couple guys who would LOVE to be able to sleep on their own side of the bed and still get action without the discomfort!

Just out of curiosity, could a heterodon breed a lystrophis? or is hognose just a term like ratsnake, where some rats cant inter breed

That's awesome Simon! Best of luck with those guys... that will likely be the first time these guys have been bred in Canada, eh? I don't really think I've seen them around at all.... Congrats!

Are those the same ones that were at the show? I looked at them and thought about them all day... sitting right beside that table, how could I resist looking at them the whole time
I'm certainly going to read up on them to see if I could manage to keep them properly. What info I've dug up so far makes me think I'm adding them to my wish list.
Just a question about the care info online.
It's not generally a good idea to judge the quality of info on a site by the looks of the site itself. However, I've heard Hognose.com recommended a lot, so I'm assuming that the info is pretty reliable and correct?

Curiousity question: Just how long do the females get? I've been reading up on the tri-color hogs and have found how long the males get, but nowhere did I see any mention of female lengths. Yours look like they've got a heck of a size difference, so it makes me think the females would be 'giants' compared to the males? Also, are they a slender snake or chunky?
