a northern watersnake body shot. I like this shot because its basking on an old tire. Not that old tires are good or anything.....nevermind....

I know what you mean, Snakehunter. Anytime I get desperate, I just head out to the old bridge nearby, and I find those without missing a beat.

Great pics, mrcanada. I like the old tire one too. I laughed out loud when I read that. Those pictures are making me even more anxious for spring.

Not in the traditional sense of the word, that is, they are not classified as venomous. They have an anti-coagulant in their saliva which anyone who has been bitten can likely testify to....
