Cruelty?żżż

ok in my science class there is this constrictor about hmm 2 ft long in a 5 gallon tank with a cardboard box and a lil water bowl that seems kinda cruel do you think soż o and hes not a bad guy.

Perhaps, you should point out the problems with the setup. I'm sure if you made a concise presentation to your teacher he would be accomodating. The odds are that he just doesn't know any better. You could even provide a list of things it needs and volunteer to set up the enclosure, you never know might be good for some bonus points. Keep us posted on how you make out with it.

i had a class like that, I printed out a caresheet for the snake and handed it to the teacher. He didn't know any better and appreciated me confronting him about it.

haha JonD's got the right idea!! screw the school system...it would probably take them a few months to go over the budget and where it ranks among their prioritys...then they would have to make a claim to the board...and then......ok ive made my point

i'm against stealing ,but if you can provide a better home or know someone ?
possibly ask to take it for a demonstration at your little sis, 2 grade school ,and say it got away or something .
Other then that get detention after shool , and well you get the idea.

Before we endorse illegal activity, why doesn't he just mention to the teacher that the enclosure is not meeting the snake's needs and print off a few different care sheets or suggest a couple of good books on the topic? I would think that most science teachers would appreciate the effort and many would take the opportunity to educate the entire class.

You should take the legal and ethical route before resorting to stealing. Not only that... you could perhaps help to make a nicer set-up and a display to educate fellow students. This would help the snake and help to educate others.
