VooDoo Wedding Ceremony

My fiance and I are getting married November 7, 2004.
We are both atheists, for lack of a better word. We want a wedding ceremony that will incorporate our interests and something that will reflect our taste for the different.
Since we live in New Orleans, LA the best idea I could come up with is a VooDoo wedding ceremony performed by an authentic priestess. We will incorporate a ritual snake dance naturally.

Has anyone else used snakes in their wedding ceremonies?

Well it seems like we'll only be able to incorporate the snake dance into the ceremony. You have to actually be initiated into the VooDoo religion to have a priestess perform the ceremony, I think. It'll still be interesting nonetheless.

That sounds like a really awesome idea! Invictus and I are having a themed wedding as well, but no snakes involved unfortunately, I do have a few family members that are phobic.
