G. rosea question

I just noticed that my G. rosea was laying flat on the substrate with its legs kinda stretched out. They weren't curled under so I wasn't really worried but I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen them do this before. It hasn't moulted since early January so I figured maybe it was some form of pre-moult behaviour that I hadn't witnessed before. Any ideas? It went right back to its normal position as soon as I loomed over the tank.

If it hasn't molted in that long you are probably right. As long as it is still on guard in your presence. I wouldn't worry about it!

Out of all my T's the Rosy always has the best feeding response! Nothing eats like she does!

Mine is pretty sketch regarding food. It eats voraciously for a few days then doesn't touch another cricket for months. Weird habits I tell you.

Really mine is a garbage can! Eats anything. All I have to do is drop it or wiggle it in front of her and pounce. She ate a hopper last week. F/T too. All that was left of it the next day was the head! Ewww! TB

Mine just goes through bouts of being a glutton. One thing I have noticed is that it appears to eat ALL of its prey. I rarely find any pieces except for maybe the jumping leg of a cricket.

I've seen mine do that too, woody. She moves around on her own afterwards though, no looming required

As for eating I vaguely recall something about Rosies (or maybe Ts in general? Can't recall) occasionally not eating for a while, then everything will go back to normal. I know mine's never refused to eat, but then she hasn't molted since I've had her either.

I knew about the whole eating thing coz rosies are noted for that type of thing. It was mostly the flattening out thing that puzzled me coz I've never seen it happen until yesterday. Weird critters they are

speaking of feeding I fust tong fed my curly hair. Just held it out and she grabbed it. It was very cool but I wouldn't try it with any of my baboon species. Just gives them a ramp for easy access for your hand!

I'm pretty leery of my H. maculata in that respect. It's still pretty small but so fast it kinda freaks me out.
