Question feeding s'lings

Please post your methods of picking up and using PINHEAD crickets to your T's. I find this part of this hobby the most teadious of them all and I am wondering if any of you have an efficient method of doing this. I've tryed everything from needle nose tweezers to pick them up, scoop them up with a piece of wood shaving.

I dont keep T's but i just use my hand to pick up pinheads, you get quite good at it after some practice. Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Hi Rob,

I use this little plastic cup to scoop the pinheads...

I timed myself a few months ago and I have an average of around 300 spiderlings per half an hour! Pretty efficient once you get the twist...

I hope it works as well for as it works for me...

Take care

Martin

Thanks Martin but instead of your cup you gave me the idea of using a straw to pick them up.
Thanks,
If any other of you have ideas please feel free.

Hello Robert, me again

I feed my slings large cricket legs, very easy and then you can use the large crix again once you have "de-legged" them. Once they get big enough I switch to small crix and then so on. I find this easier than breeding your own or whatever method you use. Try it sometime, and post your results!

cooper, i dont think a cricket leg will supply much nutrient to a sling than a whole pinhead cricket. Oh and rob, are you using "pooters" (a straw with mesh in the middle so u dont suck the bug into ur mouth) to catch pinheads? If so, be careful not to suck up some dry cricket poo! I have NO IDEA what it tastes like, but i think i can imagine, judging by the smell they produce! lol

Thanks,
Ben
