swollen vein in mouth?

So my old adult male normal corn spit out his food after getting it halfway down for the 2nd time in two weeks.

He'd get it halfway down, then twitch, and spit it out, then lay there and not move much.

I opened his mouth and found an enlarged vein on the left side. Its VERY swollen and purple. To double-check that this wasn't a normal vein, I looked at my other adult male corn's mouth and the vein was not enlarged.

No mouthrot, or any other abnormalties. What could cause this? Could this be why he keeps spitting out his food and acting lethargic?

He is going in to the vet ASAP next week.

thanks,
Cat

I would defanitly say get a vet to check it.

I have a rough idea on what will hapen to the snake but I would not try to do it your self.

I am only gona asum a few thngs so dont think that this is waht is wrong with your snake.

we wil go with the busted vein theory on this.

so now it is busted and there is presure starting to build in the snakes mouth well it is obvious that the snake is hungry cause he is trying to eat but I would compare it to a human with a tooth ach. when our teeth hurt we say oh well it wont stop me from eating super but then you hit a carrot that was not fully cooked and it hit's you all the way down your spine forst you sware then you say ouch after that it is "well I can't finish my plate."
Well a snake can't just keep half the rat so they have 2 choises
tough it or chuck it back up well if it hurts that much the regurge.

now your vet will mostlily take a scalple and make a slit to releave the presure and remove what ever is creating the enlargement and you will be told to keep that small cut verry clean to alow proper healing I dont think it will be any worst then that so go see the vet and just for fun tell me if I was some what close. I hope it all workes out for you.
