7 Deadly Strikes

Has anyone seen the 7 Deadly Strikes movie, personally I found it entertaining aswell as educational. If you haven t seen it, it s about venemous snakes in Africa. Please leave your comments if you have seen this movie and if not feel free to ask questions about it!

I saw that thing, I laughed my *** off at that moron. He starts by saying that he was SURE he would not get bitten. Out of 7 snakes this tool gets bitten twice. As with most bite victims it was TOTALLY and completely his fault, just provoking these things. There were certainly some cool snakes, like the Giboon Viper he dives into a pond after but the most amazing thing in this video is that this dumb MF lives.

I've seen it. The dude is insane. I laughed my *** off when he Tarzan swung into the water after the gabby. He did get one hell of a reality check when he got tagged by the cobra though.

IMHO..

I saw this show a while back.. Pretty entertaining, I'd watch it again and again..

From what I know, Austin Stevens is a herpetologist with who knows how many years of experience with venomous under his belt.. So I commend him for what he does and making a good tv show..

The idiocies which caught me are as follows..

- It's very idiotic to jump into a river knowing that there's a Gaboon RIGHT WHERE YOU'RE JUMPING and being well within striking distance.. But let's consider what he knows.. Maybe it's true that Gaboons aren't prone to striking while swimming in open water, who knows, I don't.. Maybe he had spent some time getting things right before the cameramen commited their footage.. Nevertheless, that was pretty f***ing stupid..

- I think it's too idiotic to have a Boomslang free roaming around your body.. Period..

- I think it's idiotic to play "pattycake" with an irritated wild cobra.. And he paid for it..

Other than that, everything else was pretty much Steve Irwin-esque..

He got "bit" twice out of 7 different close encounters with 7 different venomous snakes in the wild and lived.. W, T, F.. To me, that in itself is not idiocy, that's just the nature of the game..

His rating system was eh eh.. eh.. I didn't like it..

And lastly he got away with some awesome photos..

Having watched the show doesn't motivate me any more than I already am about keeping venomous snakes or looking for wild specimens.. It's just not a practical thing for me to do and I have no purpose to do so.. I actually appreciate people like Austin Stevens and his counterparts.. Because if it wasn't for them, I couldn't have an experience with venomous snakes.. Considering their experience and knowledge, better them than my piddly arse.. And even if my experience with venomous snakes is limited to what I see on television, that's fine with me..

Oh ya, NICE pics and I agree, better that dumb MF than me getting bitten for them. As for his "experience" if you wanna call it that, he was talking about being bitten by another Gabby just before he jumped on the one in the show. I mean, what good is experience if you don't learn F A? He shows us 2 bites, speaks of another and Lord only knows how many others he's had. I guess how many times you're envenomated doesn't matter near as much as how many more times you can get away with it. This fool's trying to get himself killed and if we're all lucky they'll air that on Animal Planet too. Say what you want about Irwin, at least that weird ******* doesn't get himself killed trying to show a snake.

i think if Steve was bitten he wouldn't air it.

and as for the guy in the video, lol. i hope that guy only acts like a dumb *** for the camera. because when your talking life and death 2 out of 7 is RELAY BAD. in my option Steve Irwin practices safer handling techniques. i am not going to question his knowledge or experience, but i relay hope he uses a hook outside of TV. if i had been bit my a gabby the next time i saw one i would handle it with a 105 inch python hook, lol

7 Deadly Strikes was a one hour special on Animal Planet. I found it severely lacking in any educational value except how to get envenomated. He is an idiot. Let's just hope he hasn't bred. Overall I give it a 1 out of 10 (and the one point goes to the snakes).

I guess I am in the minority, I found nothing ammusing about his tactics or the bites.
