mine ate fruit- what kind do you use?
last night i put some tiny pieces of peach in their dish. at 8 pm i saw Pepper eating some, then he left. this morning, the dish was almost empty. i am so glad. i think the meds are working, and they have their appetites. i put about a teaspoon worth of peach in there, and their little bodies are so small. they really ate well.
I know, you all think i am silly to post that, but i am so excited they ate some. what types of fruits have your Geckos eaten? i know not to use citrus fruit, but wondering what your geckos prefer?

Ours go for almost anything. Mango, banana, guava, passionfruit, apricot, peach, dragon fruit, cherry, prickly pear, plum, papaya, grape, kiwi, pear, you name it. Of course, its all liquified in the blender in any number of combinations so I don't know that they have any preference.
One thing I have found though, is not to add too much chicken or turkey puree to the mix. Once the meat content gets too high, the nice fruity scent disappears. They don't seem to care for the smell of liquid poultry.

My gecko that eats fruit is Golden Gecko, not a crestie but he like all chopped fruits. Peaches, mangos, watermelon (basically only water) cantelope, etc etc. I give him whatever he wants fruit wise because he eats a lot of dusted crickets.
He also loves all fruit baby foods, honey and anything else sweet like jam, etc. I only give him certain things as treats though.
