Tadpole pics that I promised!

Sorry for the lousy quality of these pictures but we are using a different camera than normal and it is kinda old. Plus I suck at taking pictures. But here they are anyways.

Matt

I've been following your threads about your tadpoles and I've been waiting for the pics before I responded. Remember I'm not the amphibian expert around here, but I can't believe how quickly those little guys grow! It's really cool.

Anyways, good luck with the tads, and keep us posted on their progress, I know I'm enjoying the updates.

Cheers!

Trace

Aww! My own just morphed into frogs just a while ago. Every time I still can't believe how cool they are. How many do you have? ~TR~

Well time for the next update. The tadpoles seem to be doing great! The pretty well dead plant that you can see in the picture up top is getting destroyed. They never stop eating it! But at least that is one good source of food for them. We are also feeding them algae disks that you feed placos and they have no trouble polishing them off either.

I am amazed at how fast they are growing and by just how much they eat. Though I do remember just how much I would eat when I was going through my growth spurt a few years back lol.

Moe - Yes they are fire bellied toads. We have three adult in a 40 gallon 1/2 land, 1/2 water setup and they seem to be doing great. Also I noticed that you have red-eyes and the blue poison dart frog listed in your animal lst. How many of each do you have? I am waiting on getting any darts yet but I plan on getting 4-5 dendrobates leucomelas in a year or two and having them in a bow front tank in the living room.

Oliverian - We are not sure about how many are there (they never slow down enough to count them all) but my estimate is probably between 80-100. But since we have never raised any before who knows how many will survive.

Matt
