Lighting question.

I know that corns are nocturnal & don't need a light source. My question is would it be in any way harmful to them to be in an enclosure with safe live plants under a growing light for the plants ? With the light screened off of course. Also keeping night/day cycle as well.
Thanks for any upcoming answers everyone. Dar.

As long as they've got some dark hides to go into they should be fine. Just keep an eye on the temp...I don't know what sort of light your going to use, but we use a flouresent light for our snakes through the day more for display than anything else and it raises the temp by about 3/4 degrees C, so we have to turn the heatpad down a bit.

Thanks a bunch Ruth. There is a plant growth light that is similar to a flourescent type. I think it will work just fine for a new vivarium. I'll give it a go. Dar.
