My Marathon Keys Girl.
I got this girl from Don. I have introduced her to my snow male and hopefully she is gravid. Not yet quite sure. Definetly gotten some more girth to her but we will have to see.

nice! isn't it dangerous to feed on a loose substrat? good luck with the breeding.

Do you think that corns in the wild pay attention to substrate? Lol.

SnowSnake - it can be. Sometimes the substrate gets stuck to the mouse/rat and can cause impation and sometimes mouthrot. However, it isn't always a problem.

Very lovely corn - is she hypo or is the reduced black just an indication of the Keys locality? Hope she is gravid for you - she does have a bit of a full look to the end of her body, but if so, it certainly hasn't influenced her appetite!
thanks for sharing the photo,
mary v.

Keys Marathons alot of times are natural hypos. I will try and post a pic of her under belly. Its solid orange with not even a hint of melanin. As for the substrate comment I have never had a problem personally but it is something to think about. The substrate your looking at is cocunut fibers. Being that its fiber I don't think it presents a significant health risk.

I don't think coconut fibers are digestable, maybe they can accumulate in her stomach and cause an impaction.

Cocunut fibers pass with no problem.
