Who SHOULD be a Mod?

I spent the last few hours looking at posts that people have made on the site and deciding upon who deserves to be a Mod and I have to say that Tim and Julie B definatly should be mods and I am very surprised that they aren't already. Who do you think should be a Mod?

I think that next time there is an opening that Jeff should open it up to nominations from the membership. Why not elect those who are going to decide our fate or that of our post. The members with the top three nominations can be decided upon by the current mods. We don't want to take too much power away from them.lol Chances are who ever the membership nominates will already have been noticed by Jeff and the rest of his cult anyway.lol Regardless, it gives the membership a greater sense of owner ship and belonging to our wonderful community and family we call www.ssnakess.com.
My two cents,
Trevor

I think Jeff should be the one to decide. We don't take any s**t when it hits the fan because of some post or action on the forum. He's the one who gets to take it all. Since he's the one who has to deal with it, I would think he should decide who helps him keep us on the straight and narrow. If we start trying to run the forums, we'll have too many cooks in the kitchen.

Lately there have been a lot of people wanting to run things and change things, but no not near as many are willing to become site supporters.

Jeff (and his aides) have the experience. Why not let them do it, it'll be done right. Why change what isn't broken? If you want to help, become a supporter.

Just my 2 cents.

Things have been running well as they are now, so don't change it.
Also this topic could cause rifts or fights best left in privacy of Jeff's head or mod forum.

I would have to agree with Mardy on this one... I feel letting the people pick a moderator can really put a strain on things, especially if the moderator doesnt work out... Peoples choice fails, or I feel guilty for releiving them etc... Peoples feelings being hurt because they werent chosen or the highest voted etc... Reasons for selecting people arent just based on there posts etc, but there are alot of things that come into play... At first i wanted to move the thread to bad threads because as Mardy said i see it causing some drama, but ill leave it open and see where it goes.

I'm not saying we decide or pick, simply make suggestions through nominations. The final say is still up to Jeff and the mods. I see all kinds of members that I think have what it takes. But I'm sure Jeff and the mods already know who they are too.
Cheers,
Trevor

Were watching There are at LEAST 25 i can think of right now off the top of my head and probably ALOT more if I actually thought it over... A ton of you, yourself included Trev would make great mods, and whenever we do take someone on its a huge decision because its so tough!

Lizzy, a site supporter is someone who has made a money donation or who has purchased a photohosting or banner account.
