Monitor Manacure, Perhaps

Hey Gang,

Has anyone ever trimmed the "Points" off of there monitors claws?

I would like some opinions on this matter, although I do not I'm interested in what the more experienced keepers that handle ther monitors do.

Thanks in advance
Brian

Thumbs up trimming monitor claws

I do it about once a month with my 8 year old Mangrove. He flails around a bit at first , but quickly calms down and lets me finish. I hold his tail between my knees and sit on a step stool to do it. He'd be very hard to hang on to if I didn't keep them trimmed. I use medium size dog clippers. I don't bother with gloves. He's pretty tame....... cheers, Les
