Ahhh! Vicious Leo Breeding attack!

We just put our great big female Leo in with our great big fat male. Both have bred before ( not with each other), so they know what to do...But the male grabbed her skin on top of her back really viciously.....it didn't look like a sex bite to me, he didn't waggle his tail or anything, but he just snuck up on her like a cricket, then POUNCED! He broke the skin, but not enough to make her bleed......we seperated them now......but is that normal? I don't know......Thanks for any quick replies.

Jess.

Yup, that's normal. To save space take a look at the discussion I had with Snowsnake last night. I hope it helps! I'd chat up this thread too, but I need sleep(long two weeks at work!) Good luck and if you need any extra info just pm me.Julie.
