Northern Boa visitor

Last October I had to pull out our fridge for repairs and found a 16-18 inch rubber boa wrapped around the power cord. My son tried to keep him but it Would not eat. We decided to let it go in our chicken coop and straight down a mouse hole it went. Good thing as it snowed a week later. Last night while leaving the kitchen, I glanced and thought I saw a shadow behind the fridge. I got a flashlight and by God there’s a snake wrapped around the power cord. This guy looks very dark, over two feet long and as round as a 50ct piece in the middle. We don’t have any mice so I guess he’s doing his job but why and how is he getting in and back to the same place? No gaps in doors, no holes that I can find but the house is multi level, in the farmland and built in the late 40,s.
Thanks

Re: Northern Boa visitor

Old farmhouses typically have lots of little crevices where snakes and other critters can enter.
What's remarkable is the snake's homing instinct, assuming that it is the same one. I guess it found a nice warm place that it likes.

Welcome to the forum! Do you have any pictures of the snake?
