As per my new member thread this is my first monitor. This is my enclosure--it is 8 feet by 3.5 feet by 3.5 feet. I have 25 inches of substrata that is 60% organic soil and 40% washed playsand. The temperature right now is 90 with humidity of 95% and his basking spot is 120 at the moment, hoping to get another 10 degrees higher. Ill get a pic in of Caesar, my new monitor.
As I stated in another thread, feel free to critique or comment on my enclosure. I wont pick Caesar up until I know conditions in the enclosure are perfect for him
Nice job. I build my own as well. You know what they say... Want it done right do it yourself. And you little buddy will appreciate you getting everything right before he moves in. Big thumbs up.

right on thanks. This is the only forum where I seek advice. Lots of proper info on here
here are some pics of Caesar in his enclosure. So far, for the first 2 hours he is very curious and moving around a lot. Pooped in his water and basked under the light for a while. All in all Id say he really likes it. I think he genuinely likes the extra room to roam around in compared to the pet store
