Dragon Feet

We went to our fav reptile shop called Varan (ROYAL VARAN - professional breeder - ROYAL VARAN) to check the genders of our baby snakes... And well, we really like the owners of this shop, and there was soo many amazing creatures that we ended with 2months old bearded dragon that my husband just fell in love with

For now only 2 not the best pics, she needs to settle down a little before making any good pics. In natural light her colors are really nice!

Re: Dragon Feet

Some more pics of Dragon Feet:

And we went to reptile expo today to adopt crested gecko (after mbd)... and ended with a boy for our girl, here is Bazyl:

I always though that Beardies are hard and too much work, and well, just one of the pets that are "more trouble than fun". Now I'm super glad that my man decided to buy the two of them as they are sooo amazing compared to all the other reptiles we're having! I would call them "rats of reptile world" with the upside of living a lot longer than rats, haha!

Re: Dragon Feet

Thanks! They are really curious and smart, I start to wonder how smart are monitors if they are called the most "intelligent" lizards out there, haha!

I'm having a weird feeling that we'll not end with only these two...

Re: Dragon Feet

Albert, thank you! After settling time I'll do pics in natural light as their colors are really cool (and hard to capture, haha, especially the Dragon Feet). Both are "normals", Bazyl is leatherback het. hypo citrus orange and Dragon Feet is an oddball from citrus x oddball pairing, so it's really cool how different they both looks.

Re: Dragon Feet

Oh God, they are growing sooo fast! Especially Dragon Feet, I never had a reptile growing as fast as her!

The pics on the left were taken when we bough them (around month ago), on the right were taken today.

(I'm sorry that the first pic is in box, I did not though about doing progress photos at the time...)

After that month I noticed that Dragon Feet is more calm, she's the type that will lay and be petted. I'm not sure if that's because she's more shy and afraid of wandering around, or just more lazy, haha!

Bazyl on the contrary will sit still for a few minutes but then he'll try to jump around to see everything. Again, not sure if he's afraid and tries to hide from me, or more courageous and just likes to see everything around.

Re: Dragon Feet

Beautiful dragons. I used to think dragons were difficult as well but they are actually quite rewarding. One summer my boyfriend went away and I agreed to keep his beardie for him and care for him while he was gone. The little butthole was super mean, he bit me so many times and at first I really hated him but after a couple months of patience and handling he was fine, and never bitten me since. Now he's nearly an adult they really do grow so fast

Re: Dragon Feet

We went to reptile expo in Czech today, to deliver one pair of our E. schrenckii babies and to see what interesting we cna find there. We were mostly looking for citrus bearded dragon (or any other really super yellow dragon), but unfortunately nothing interesting in that department. When we decided to go home without buying anything I noticed a super small table that we missed before with hognose snake babies!!!! So I'm now having a small Drona baby that I'll post in another thread.

Then my husband decided that there was that one beardie baby that he really liked but since it wasn't yellow he did not mention it. And as I got a "impulse buy" on hognose we decided that he'll get that beardie

She's called Bazylia, couse she's white&grey, similiar to Bazyl, and when she's curious he's doing exactly the same pose. We guess she's just a normal, around month old (the breeder did speak only czech, and I'm not too good in it).
Here is a quick pic:

Re: Dragon Feet

[QUOTE=Sylphie;2472571]Oh I totally forgot to post updates here too! So, we're now having 3 dragons, Dragon Feet, Bazyl and small female Basil from Czech. They are a lot of fun and every single one of them has their own personality and routines that others do not (For example, Basil is always pooping only in her water bowl, she never once went outside of it, and then she's patiently waiting for me to change it every single day... or Dragon Feet loves to just sit on my lap, but when she needs to go to the loo she'll let me know everytime, the first time I didn't understand what she wanted and when I noticed the tail being lifted and went to put her back in her tank she grabbed onto me as if saying "you didn't want to put me back when I wanted so now you deserve all of it!" and she's totally afraid of any insects others than meal or superworms... or Bazyl is like a super bro hooligan, very independent, hates cuddling, always messing around, trying to eat his bowls instead of what's inside of them and loving his roaches). But, I won't pos all the stories about them as it would take a lot of space and time, so here's a lot of pics for you!
