Pretty happy with how these turned out! Diablo came straight out of the fridge when I picked him up so he wouldn't eat for a while, but he has recently started eating again so I felt confident taking some pictures

He always comes to see what's up when anyone is in front of his tank, very nice display snake. Easy to handle too, no aggression or defensive behaviour in this little guy at all. His eyes are more Dark Ruby in real life, the flash makes them look very red.

Thx! New part for the one I am using now was just a working battery & a charger haha, broke ages ago but I preferred to use my other DSLR because it was lighter so i hadn't ordered a new charger until now... This is a Canon EOS 30D, a little hard to use with one hand (Not good with more aggressive snakes, hard to hold a snakehook at the same time). But it sure does take great pictures. Not sure which lens this was, was swapping them around quite a bit. One of my Macro lenses though. My other DSLR has some more issues..

Thanks for sharing the info. *Your shots are amazingly*crisp, something I'm always unsatisfied with in my own pictures. What are you doing for lighting? *Normal light from the enclosure or are you providing extra?

These are actually just standard lighting, build in flash. I do have external flash modules and a ring flash module.. But didn't use any. Think it's all in the materials and settings, also i always focus manually because autofocus often pick the wrong target.

Here's a few recent pictures of this guy! Not that he changed much, but still! I don't post many updates about him, there's not much to tell though! Perfect little guy, sheds in one piece, doesn't cause any trouble and eats like a maniac. Always feed him by hand and he just flops his head out of his enclosure and eats as I hold his food.

The funny thing! When I was holding him the other day, in the snakeroom.. I noticed he's actually smaller than Kira's head. Just his head.. Its pretty darn adorable. I wish I could have a Kira clone in that size.. I'd have a house full..
