I haven't been a monitor keeper for long, but from what I do know is that they are very...Well Moody. They are almost like a kid becoming a teenager, provide them with the right supports, knowledge and care, and you will have yourself a wonderfull monitor. The best thing you can do is moderate experiements, to find out what suits your particular monitor. Adjust elements, soil, food etc. slighty to find out what he resonds soon. ANd in a short time, you will have many experiences, of your own.
Best of luck!
