Boa day trips

Does any body else take there boas to see friends and family?
I nearly always take one of my boas depending on the weather to see my granddaughter,she loves it and always goes mad when I don't,I think it's important for kids to have an understanding of different animals
I always take a heat mat and a decent tub for them but they themselves to seem to love being out they do seem to enjoy the interaction from her, she's really good with them.
I would never put my granddaughter or my snakes into danger but think it's important to learn and they can also help change people's opinions in the future

It's good to hear that you expose your granddaughter to your snakes for educational purposes. And it sounds like you do it while keeping the animal's needs in mind.

That being said, I don't personally do this, and probably never will. It opens up too many risks that I am not comfortable dealing with. But if it works for you, that's kind of awesome!

Not all snakes could handle the stress of the day trip you described. So it's coolt hat your animals are easy with it!

Don't worry they only live 15 mins away and would never want to stress them and have always got there interests at heart, I limit how long there out for and never take them out when it's cold or if they have recently eaten,I take it turns with them all just seem to sit and relax with my daughter and my granddaughter

I don't really have anyone nearby that would like to see them, but if there was someone within a 10-15 min drive I might take them there once a month for like 30 mins. A different snake each time, too. I feel more than that would stress them out.

I'd rather them come to my home and visit them. haha

I feel like doing this every now and then with a calm animal that feeds well would be ok, and not for a very far drive. Anything too extreme I'd be worried about stressing them out, but its good to help educate/share your passion with your family, so long as the animals aren't getting too stressed out in the process. I know I couldn't do that with any of mine.

I'd rather invite someone over, I don't even handle my snakes unless I have to. Even if i have people over the snakes aren't handled by others very easily. (I dont hand them to just anyone) Like Mink said, just too many things that could potentially go wrong. Also mine are either too big or too quick to bite for any kinds of trips.

i guess i,m lucky that 6 out my 7 boas are happy to be out(obviously with a watchful eye still)
