Hitch hiker

I picked this rascal up by the highway the other day and man was he cranky! After biting a half dozen times or so he calmed down, I took him away from the busy highway and turned him loose. (after the pics)

Re: Hitch hiker

Beautiful corn snake. It looks like an Okeetee, but with some brown striping.

Re: Hitch hiker

What a beauty! Thanks for taking the time to rescue such a beautiful snake. All too often I see them squashed on the road and down here in the South, many people are afraid of all snakes so they intentionally run them over when the see them on the roads.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Hitch hiker

That's cool, about the only wild snakes we see here where I live are Garters. It would be nice to see a variety in the wild; once in a great while, I've seen a Hognose or two, and a Bull snake, but mostly Garters.

Metalcopper- Thank's for your post, it reminds me how lucky I'am to live in a place with such a wide variety of snakes.
