Giant Purple Land Crabs: housing!

i was thinking of getting a big purple crab!
dunno if anyone keeps them? but since they need a large enclosure i was wondering if i could customise a plastic kiddies play pool? anyone know if its been done? i havent got a clue how i would do it..... any ideas?! would it be suitable?

we have giant purple crabs here it's crazy!! i don't know what kind they are... but in the summer there is thousands for black blotches in the streets from them getting hit by cars.. they are ALWAYS in pools... garages... I forgot why they come but they only come to my city .. the surrounding cities don't get any at all and we literally get thousands. people catch them and put them in buckets feed them vegetables for a month (to get the nasty crap out of them) and they are apparently really good to eat.. i am sure thats not what u wanted to hear... but when u said giant purple crabs it made me laugh . COme to stuart florida we have a TON in the summer

weather1:they are Caribbean Giant Purple Land Crabs. but if african land crabs are big and purple then i guess theyre similar!
