Corns trying to escape!

ok so i got a baby female corn snake about a month ago and she never does anything but hide. i even had a stick for her to climb on but i took it out because she never used it. moral is, she is not a climber. well today i got a baby male corn snake and put him in a separate tank right beside the female's tank. in a matter of minutes he had scaled the walls of the tank and wedged himself against the screen lid. i opened the lid and he feel back in. a few hours later he did it again. then about an hour later my female did the same thing in her tank. VERY unlike her. i cant stress how extremely non vertical she is. wuts up? are they trying to get to each other? should i introduce them? i am already planning on getting 2 more lid clamps for each tank tomorrow.
