bad news;(
As some of you may know, I was hoping to rescue a sand boa off craigslist. Ive been emailing the owner for a couple week, & I planned to get her sometime the weekend since I get paid on friday. Well, got the email last night that she passed away.
I feel horrible.

Re: bad news;(
If it was that close to dying, you probably weren't going to be able to do much for it anyways. Focus on the animals you do have now, andhope that the ssandboas owner doesn't make the same mistake. Maybe them losing their pet will encourage them to think twice before getting another.

Re: bad news;(
Honestly, its better off that way.....I would not have taken the risk of taking in an animal that obviously had something going on with it....

Re: bad news;(
Chances are pretty good that you very well may not have been able to save the snake anyway if it was too far gone. You sound like you have a very good heart and really love animals. That said, it's very easy to fall into the trap of trying to save all the recue animals you come across, which simply can't be done. I think this well-intentioned mindset is what starts some people down the road to animal hording. They start out wanting to help all the unfortunate animals they come across and end up over committing themselves and their resources. to everyone's detriment. Just something to keep in mind with all the animals you already have and the upcoming changes you have in your life. Just a thought...
